Sassona Norton: Sculpture

June 6 - November 12, 2006

This exhibition will highlight approximately 20 works by New Jersey sculptor Sassona Norton. Norton’s current body of work is primarily larger than life female figures cast in bronze. Each piece is monumental and recalls the expressive and emotional nature of work by artists such as Auguste Rodin. All of her figures express an outward strength, but their gestures and facial expressions show the vulnerability and humanity of all people.
